St Anne’s at the Primary School Young Leaders Forum held at Parliament House

Wednesday, June 10, 2026

We were incredibly proud to have two of our Year 5 students, Jenson and Sebastian, represent St Anne’s at the Primary School Young Leaders Forum held at Parliament House. The boys confidently spoke about issues that are important to them and their classmates, demonstrating thoughtful leadership and a genuine desire to make a difference in the community.

Jenson spoke about the need for chicanes at the end of bike paths to help slow riders before they reach roads, improving safety for children and families. Sebastian spoke about the importance of creating and maintaining more green spaces like Stradbroke Park for young people, encouraging wellbeing, connection and opportunities for outdoor play.

It was wonderful to see our students using their voices so confidently and respectfully. Opportunities such as this remind us how important it is for young people to feel heard and to know that their ideas and opinions matter. We thank Mrs Lett for supporting and preparing the boys for this special experience, and also extend our gratitude to Jess Wilson, the member for Kew, and Opposition Leader for making the day possible.
