Maths and Reading Results

Thursday, November 26, 2020

This time of year, staff are always busy carrying out assessments that provide data used to measure student growth and inform teaching practice. At St. Anne’s, we are very proud of our students' efforts this year, particularly in light of all of the challenges they have faced. The Pat Reading chart illustrates a comparison between our Year 6 students and an Australian average. 95% of our Year 6 students had growth in their reading comprehension skills this year, and of that 95%, 66% had significant growth. This trend was reflected across all year levels. Similarly, the trend for Maths was well above the Australian average, as illustrated by the Pat Maths chart for Year 2 students.

Despite all of the adversities this year, we are thrilled that we have not only maintained our standards, but have seen significant growth in student learning. I would like to acknowledge the shared effort of students, teachers and parents who have worked together to achieve this. Thank you St. Anne’s community, take a bow!
